Know that there are many cases where the souls in an area affected by disaster have a collective agreement to go through that event. One such example was the tsunami of Indonesia in late 2004 that killed over 200,000 people. Most of the souls in that region lived in dire poverty and a large percentage had basically given up hope of living a meaningful life and fulfilling their soul purpose. Some had come in specifically to learn what it feels like to live in dire poverty and they had learned all they desired from that experience. Others came in to teach love and compassion to those of greater affluence.
This disaster was allowed to happen because of the collective soul agreement (though mostly unconscious) of the people living in that area. For enlightened souls going through that experience, they were either there to assist in the rescue efforts, or they received guidance to move prior to the event. A few souls who were partially awakened may have needed to clear some karma or heal some unresolved emotions and needed an event such as that to help trigger their healing process.
Regardless of the reason for experiencing a weather-related disaster, the role of human consciousness in weather needs to be understood. Humanity in general has not evolved sufficiently to greatly affect natural events, but a collective effort does make some difference. A unified humanity is capable of altering the trajectory of celestial objects, for example. Conversely, an area with a lot of negativity can bring undesired weather conditions.
To review, it is pretty much agreed that weather can affect human moods, but not very many souls are aware that it can go the other direction as well. An area with a lot of suppressed anger, for example, can attract to itself violent storms. While it is overly simplistic (and not very compassionate) to state that people bring natural disasters upon themselves because of their unresolved emotions, there are, nevertheless, many situations in which this has played itself out in Earth’s history.
Regardless of how much of a role humanity plays in attracting or repelling weather-related calamities, it is possible to tune into the “moods” of planet Earth and anticipate where violent weather will strike and how you can be safe from extreme storms.
To do this, the first step is tuning in to the natural world. This may seem obvious, but a lot of souls get so caught up in their daily lives that they barely take time out to gaze up at the sky and notice the types and direction of clouds. You can determine the level of barometric pressure even if you do not have any instrumentation, by becoming aware of the subtle changes in your body and that of animals and plants. An area can communicate to you its general feelings about the coming seasons. Even if the trees do not drop their leaves early, you can often sense when it is going to be a hard winter.
After each section below, we will give our perception of the places most likely to be relatively unaffected by severe cataclysms, such as violent storms and earthquakes. Due to free will, these “safe” places can shift over time, so take this only as a guide and not as gospel.
